Ayurveda 101 for Yogis: Ayurvedic Theory, Self-Care Tools, and Vata-Balancing Yoga
The secret to enriching your day with more energy, clarity, and motivation is Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old Indian system of healing and sister science to yoga. Experience these time-tested tools in a daylong Ayurvedic retreat with  Larissa Hall Carlson, faculty of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda and yoga teacher.
In the morning, you’ll identify your unique dosha, or mind-body constitution, which determines the daily routines and foods that will best support digestion and turn stress into joy. In the afternoon, you’ll dive into a juicy Ayurvedic yoga journey to relax the body, soothe nerves, and restore tranquility to the mind. Harmonize vata dosha in time for Autumn with a full-body asana sequence, pranayama, and mindfulness meditation. Then you’ll try Abhyanga (self-massage) techniques to melt tension, and finish the day with a restorative yoga nidra to boost immunity.
